Generally, reducers are used for low-speed and high-torque driving equipment. They convert the power from electric motors, internal combustion engines, or other high-speed equipment by meshing the gears with fewer teeth on the input shaft of the reducer with the big gears on the output shaft to achieve the purpose of reducing speed. Ordinary reducers also have several pairs of gears with the same principle to achieve the desired reduction effect. And the ratio of the number of teeth between the big and small gears is the gear ratio. The reducer is an independent component composed of gear drive, worm drive, and gear-worm drive enclosed in a rigid housing, commonly used as a speed reduction gearing device between the prime mover and the working machine.
