Details
Generally, the shaft is made of rolled or forged carbon steel or alloy steel, usually medium-carbon steel, and commonly 45# steel. The shafts with high stress and limited size, as well as certain special requirements are made of alloy steel, or optionally 40Cr. Generally, the electric roller shaft requires heat treatment or surface hardening treatment as required to improve its mechanical properties and wear resistance. The difference in elastic modulus between alloy steel and carbon steel at normal temperature is very small. Therefore, the alloy steel cannot improve the stiffness of the shaft.
